10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Most of us are a little unforgiving toward those who use the Bible to justify their partisan offenses--those who make backroom deals in the name of God and absolutely blackball anyone who doesn't agree with them. In business, there are some people I sell a lot of stuff to but have somewhat accepted will one day betray me because of my religion. One day they'll decide I'm going to hell, or they'll decide I think they're going to hell, and they'll just quit returning my calls. I don't understand those types of people... but this verse, on its face, seems to be endorsing that kind of attitude. Do not say "good luck" or "have a nice day" to those who do not confess that Jesus is the Christ.
My own cognitive dissonance refuses to read it that way.
